Except for Mahesh Babu’s Maharshi Tollywood didn’t see good figures in the month of may, 2019.

MAHARSHI – Landmark film for Mahesh babu and his fans as he touched 25 films mark in his career. this alone raised the buzz and curiosity for this project. Vamshee Paidipally showed trememdnous skill in dealing with the script and narration without making audience feel bored considering the lengthy run time 3 hours. Mahesh looked stunning especially in this film and the whole credit goes to his Stylist. Allari Naresh is one of the assets of the film, his portrayal as farmer’s son touched hearts. Film did a pre release business of 147 Cr and collected 94 Cr closing share making it above average at box-office.

ABCD – American Born Confused Desi is an out and out comedy film starring Allu Sirish and Rukshar Dhillon in lead roles. Remake of a Malayalam film. With Srirastu Subhamastu as only hit in career, Allu Sirish pinned all his hopes but the film didn’t do well. First half with decent comedy and love track and spoiling whole second half Director Sanjeev Reddy showed imbalance in handling the film. Theatrical rights of this film bought for 8 crores and collected 3.50 Cr share making it disaster at box-office.

SITA – The amount of buzz brought for this film by Kajal Aggarwal through promos and posters didn’t help in making it successful after the release. Kajal Aggarwal is the sole reason for whatever figures it collected. Bellamkonda Srinivas role is completely wasted and the film couldn’t be handled by Teja. Though theatrical rights were bought for unexpected amount of 14 Cr it collected just 5.83 Cr making it a worst disaster.
