Sarileru Neekevvaru Movie Review

As we all know pre release event of Sarileru Neekevvaru has been a huge hit, all thanks to Megastar Chiranjeevi for his beautiful and charming speech about Vijayashanti and Mahesh Babu. This event added extra promotion of the film even to common audience apart from being Pongal release. Anil Ravipudi directorial starring Mahesh Babu, Rashmika Mandanna, Vijayshanti, Prakash Raj, Sangeetha, Hari Teja and many known cast released on January 11th in record no.of theaters. AP Government issued special shows to this film for one week i.e., from 11th to 17th between 1AM-10AM. Did Mahesh Babu and Anil Ravipudi continued their success streak with Sarileru Neekevvaru? Let’s get into review.

Army officer Ajay Krishna (Mahesh Babu) in an unfortunate situation had to visit Professor Bharati (Vijayashanti) and her family in Kurnool. On the way he comes across Samskruthi (Rashmika Mandanna) and her family. Meanwhile Bharati involves in a critical situation with powerful Politician. Ajay locks horns with him and sorts her problems. Purpose of his visit and confrontation is rest of the story to watch.

Director Anil Ravipudi showed his strength in blending comedy with commercial mass elements. But too much addition of comedy dialogues in serious situations irriates audience in second half. Comparatively second half feels lagging and disengaging. Much hyped train episode worked out well until Bandla Ganesh enters the scene. Army episode is highlight of the film. All the songs are good and BGM could have been better. Mahesh babu carried whole film on his shoulders, he effortlessly switched from comedy to mass and vice versa. Rashmika Mandanna did an average performance, her characterization didn’t work even a bit. Vijayashanti nailed her character with grace and perfection. Film could have been a perfect family entertainer without many flaws in direction and editing.
